U4gm Aion 2 Amplification and Gear Replacement Guide
The Aion 2 October 28 update gives players more flexibility when moving upgrades between Expedition and Crafted Gear, but it also makes the timing of a replacement more important. Before spending resources on Aion 2 Items, compare the equipment you already own with the piece you intend to use next.
A crafted replacement is not automatically the better choice simply because it is new. Its tier, amplification limit, attributes, and transfer outcome all matter when deciding whether to equip it immediately or wait.
New Paths Between Equipment Tiers
The update supports transfers from Tier 3 Expedition Gear to Tier 2 Crafted Gear, as well as from Tier 2 Expedition Gear to Tier 1 Crafted Gear. These paths give players a way to move progression toward crafted equipment without necessarily starting its upgrades from scratch.
The patch also adjusted amplification limits for crafted equipment. Check the current limit on the specific replacement piece: a transfer may be available, but the resulting amplification and any restrictions should be confirmed in the in-game preview before you commit.
Compare the Pieces Before Spending
Start with the equipped Expedition item. Note its tier, amplification level, core stats, and any effects that matter to your build. Then inspect the crafted item in the same slot, including its base attributes and amplification limit.
Next, open the transfer interface and review the predicted result. Do not assume that every amplification level will carry over unchanged. Check the listed material cost, currency cost, and what happens to the original item. If the interface does not show enough information, hold onto both pieces until you can verify the outcome.
Finally, compare the total cost of transferring and improving the crafted piece with the cost of continuing to use your current item. A modest stat gain may not justify a large investment if another replacement is close.
A Worked Replacement Decision
Imagine a player wearing a Tier 3 Expedition chest piece with strong amplification who obtains a Tier 2 Crafted chest piece. The new transfer path makes the crafted item a potential destination, but the player should not confirm the transfer immediately.
First, the player compares the crafted piece's attributes with those of the equipped chest piece. Then they inspect the transfer preview to see the resulting amplification and required materials. If the crafted piece reaches a useful level and offers better stats at a reasonable cost, transferring may be worthwhile.
If the preview shows a disappointing result or an expensive path to improvement, keeping the Expedition piece can be the wiser move. The crafted chest piece can wait while the player saves materials or looks for a more valuable upgrade.
Make Each Upgrade Count
Consider your next few equipment goals together rather than treating each piece in isolation. A transfer that looks affordable on its own may consume materials needed for a more significant upgrade in another slot.
Review the current rules in game whenever you are ready to act, since costs and limits can differ by item. For players considering Aion 2 Items for sale, the same principle applies: choose a replacement that fits your build and your planned progression budget.
